An HIV medical training for Turkish doctors
and patient advocates with guests
from the Middle East and North Africa

The meeting is for Turkish infectious disease specialists
and HIV patient advocates.
The goal of the meeting
is to share important HIV treatment and diagnostic
information and practices with Turkish doctors and
patient advocates to ensure best quality care for people
living with HIV in Turkey.
The format of the meeting
will be lectures, case study presentations and informal
discussions; the meeting will be small and casual to
encourage participation.
A separate training track will
be available for patient advocates to further explore
treatment issues in the context of the wide range of
issues facing people living with HIV including stigma,
testing, treatment literacy, patient empowerment, diagnostics
and care.
The training will be in English and
Turkish.
Registration is free.
For those travelling to Istanbul, travel and accommodation
will be provided by HIVTRI and Gilead Turkey.
