Dr Deniz Gökengin is currently a member of
the academic staff in the Department of Infectious Diseases and
Clinical Microbiology in Istanbul. She is also General Secretary
of the Society for the Prevention of Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
Over the course of her career, she has held specialist positions
with expertise in Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology
as well as Experimental Surgery and Research. Dr. Gökengin
has also conducted numerous workshops and skills trainings on various
HIV-related issues and topics, including Clinical Examination and
Assessment, Peer Education and Trainers' Training, and Interactive
Training by Drama for Sexual and Reproductive Health. She is also
Member of the Advisory Board of the Positive Living Association
since 2005.
