Managing HIV and Co-infection

27–28 April 2006, San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Madrid, Spain

San Lorenzo de El Escorial, only 45 kms northwest of Madrid, is easily reached by bus, train, taxi, or car. Built in the 16th century and a World Cultural Heritage site, San Lorenzo is a former grand royal residence and monastery complex situated in the beautiful Guadarrama mountains. Three historically important cities—Ávila, Segovia and Grania de San Ildefonso—are within 50 kms should you choose to extend your stay in the region.

For additional information about San Lorenzo de El Escorial, see Softguides.com, Traveling in Spain or the Comunidad de Madrid (en español). An article in wikipedia provides detailed references.
